Ellen Lewis (MA, PhD) Ellen is an experienced professional with a diverse background in systems thinking, organization development, academia, and monitoring and evaluation. With over 30 years of expertise, Ellen has collaborated with academic institutions, public and private organizations, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and community groups to empower them in navigating change, complexity, and uncertainty through systemic thinking and participatory methodologies. Her primary focus lies within the global development sector and academia, where she excels in crafting curricula, conducting evaluations, delivering training programs, engaging with communities, and enhancing the capacity and capability of both public and private sector employees, local professionals, rural populations, and Masters Students.
Ellen, who serves as an adjunct Professor at the University of Birmingham, University of Exeter, and Advance HE, is actively involved in the development of Masters programs in Systems Thinking. These esteemed organizations are all based in the United Kingdom.
Ellen and Anne are co-authors of the UN Women’s Inclusive Systemic Evaluation for Gender Equality, Environments and Marginalized Voices (ISE4GEMs): A New Approach for the SDG Era (2018). They are currently under contract with Routledge Press developing a book on Inclusive Systemic Thinking with a network of collaborators.
